Hey,
This little trick i use will save you alot of time in the long run and will allow you to simply click the bookmark on your browser and then it will automatically add in the url and other details into ping-o-matic and also ping it without you having to enter in any other details or click on anything else.
I use it all the time when i am building backlinks and also when i make new sites or release new articles…. in other words whenever i create something new.
For people who don’t know what pinging does it basicly tells blogs and other sites around the internet that your content exists and/or has been updated or changed. Then google bots and other search engine bots see the changed content alot quicker and so index it even faster than ever before.
Don’t over do it and ping over and over again and some sites are set to automatically ping such as ezinearticles and so it will show an error message saying you have done it too often (this wont damage your rankings etc)
So the code is:
javascript:location.href=’http://pingomatic.com/ping/?title=’+encodeURIComponent(document.title)+’&blogurl=’+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+’&chk_weblogscom=on&chk_blogs=on&chk_technorati=on&chk_feedburner=on&chk_syndic8=on&chk_newsgator=on&chk_myyahoo=on&chk_pubsubcom=on&chk_blogdigger=on&chk_blogrolling=on&chk_blogstreet=on&chk_moreover=on&chk_weblogalot=on&chk_icerocket=on&chk_newsisfree=on&chk_topicexchange=on&chk_google=on&chk_tailrank=on&chk_bloglines=on&chk_aiderss=on&chk_skygrid=on&chk_audioweblogs=on&chk_rubhub=on&chk_geourl=on&chk_a2b=on&chk_blogshares=on’
Then just simply add that code as a bookmark (varies in firefox and ie). Click below To See How You Add a Bookmark!
> Firefox
> Internet Explorer
Hope this helps people.

javascript:location.href='http://pingomatic.com/ping/?title='+encodeURIComponent(document.title)+'&blogurl='+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+'&chk_weblogscom=on&chk_blogs=on&chk_technorati=on&chk_feedburner=on&chk_syndic8=on&chk_newsgator=on&chk_myyahoo=on&chk_pubsubcom=on&chk_blogdigger=on&chk_blogrolling=on&chk_blogstreet=on&chk_moreover=on&chk_weblogalot=on&chk_icerocket=on&chk_newsisfree=on&chk_topicexchange=on&chk_google=on&chk_tailrank=on&chk_bloglines=on&chk_aiderss=on&chk_skygrid=on&chk_audioweblogs=on&chk_rubhub=on&chk_geourl=on&chk_a2b=on&chk_blogshares=on'

Crikey, this looks like clever shit.
Will bookmark this and return shortly when I need it.
Thanks!
I don’t understand how you use this? Do you bookmark this script, then click on the bookmark when you want to ping the page your on? If so how do you bookmark the script?

It’s not a script!
Create a new blank bookmark and then edit it and paste in this code. Then add it to the firefox bookmarks toolbar and then you just press it and it will ping the page thats open at that time instantly!
Make any sense now?
Tom Brite
What do you mean it is not a script!? It cleary says Javascript in the code???:-)
Here is what I have done…Opened a new tab, then bookmarked it. I then right clicked on the saved bookmark, and selected “properties” A box popped up, in which I changed the “location” to the code you provided. I have saved that, and when I click the bookmark, nothing happens, no matter what page/site I am on.
Have I done this correct, or am I misunderstanding something? I have firefox by the way.

Hey Tom,
Still haven’t managed to get this to work!
I created and saved the bookmark with the code above, but when I click it nothing happens?
Is there any chance you could do a quick screen capture showing how to do it correctly, then how it works?
Cheers
James

Hey James,
Let me see what i can do in regards to a screen capture of how to set this up.
Also on a side note this same code has been ‘used’ in several ebooks that ive purchased and seen more recently and also has even been re-molded into a $49 product that does 1 little extra thing and uses a strategy i teach for free… Weird how people miss the good things when they are free but rave abut them when they have to pay for them.

I struggled briefly too – then I realised the issue – there are two types of bookmarks in Firefox you can hit CTRL D and it will bookmark the current page – however to get this excellent ping trick to work you need to right click on Firefox toolbar and add new bookmark – only then can you paste in the script. If you use the top menu in Firefox called “Bookmarks” it will only let you bookmark the current URL.
Answer is to right click in the Firefox toolbar area under the search etc…
Hope this helps.

I used ctrl-d then changed the location. It did nothing.
I then deleted everything before the http in the location (javascript:location.href=’). It worked great-one time. LOL
Then I got the following message:
Slow down cowboy!
It would not let me ping another site.
Nice script though. Thank you very much.
Steve
No problem steve,
You will get that message if the site has already been recently pinged (alot of the bigger site’s are).
