Tom So i thought i would give you all the full story on what’s happened and whats going to happen before you heard the miss-information from anyone else.
So here we go…
Yesterday (October 11th 2009) i was banned from the warrior forum, reason was because i had previously been a member of the warrior forum but under a different account name and had been banned around 6 months ago.
Since then i re-signed up and kept my nose 110% clean and changed my ways! Ive helped 1000’s of people in the last 6 months earn money online of which many still come back to me and show their gratitude and continue to earn money.
But as most of you are probably also warrior forum members i thought i would share with you the truth! Also because you are probably wondering what’s going to happen now and am i still going to carry on etc etc etc
Well for the past 24 hours ive been submitting support tickets and have been contacted by the ‘big’ guys over at the warrior forum pulling in big cash and who ive been getting to know very well who are all concerned and who have been voicing their opinions both with me and with the warrior forum admins.
So anyhow i still haven’t had a reply back and feel its unlikely i will! After all i broke a rule and have been banned forever with the new account.
BUT! The good news is im still going to continue… i have been offered 5 JV offers since both to promote my products that are coming out soon(ish) and to create or promote and help people with there’s.
All my promotions are still on but as i used the warrior forum to connect with most of you instead it will be via this blog and email.
Plus seeing as it will probably be harder for people to find this blog its up to you and everyone else who visits to spread the good word!
Plus just like anyone great we all have our fall’s. Take for example Frank Kern, one of the most well known internet marketers, he had some legal trouble with the FTC and had to pay out $600,000 i believe and for a long time stopped and then came back and did even better than ever.
So im taking this as an opportunity to make myself succeed even more, to out do everyone else even when what i considered a very good resource of clients, JV’s, Affiliates and help has now gone!
It also leads me into another point about how you shouldn’t have all your eggs in one basket and im glad i don’t!
The warrior forum only made up a small part of my overall income and this ‘hit’ has come as a shock but not really effected my overall income!
I have many more projects to do both inside and outside of the IM niches and will still be here to help you all. In fact i will now be here even more because i wont be wasting any time helping people who don’t want to succeed on the warrior forum.
So overall what im trying to say is everyone has their bad days, things that go wrong and things that are totally unexpected!
Ok i broke a rule but i didn’t hurt anyone, leave anyone without their money and the same goes with my previous account 6 months or so ago!
Anyhow… this wont stop me making money, helping people or achieving my goals and the same goes for anyone else!

My old original account was banned for breaking the same rule twice within a week of each other which was promoting my own product in a thread as people were asking for that product, i see this done all the time still but i just got hooked by the fishing rod and reeled in!

Yes, we can announce stuff for you in the forum. Quite frankly, can’t see anybody really caring that you promoted your prod a couple of times… I know they have to have rules but …big deal!
Honestly, so many of the biggest men in history suffered setbacks and slaps in the face

Im thinking of running a coaching program on how to make some big money from the warrior forum seeing as it did make me over $20,000 in the last few months alone and has set me up to earn $3,000 to $5,000 a month on autopilot already! So maybe it was my time to go… but now its also time to teach you guys and girls how to do the same before they go along and slap you too!

As i said before the warrior forum was going to be holding alot of my eggs but thanks to the ban now it wont… senuke promotion is under way again in other directions and so are some other things.
Also had some exciting news yesterday and got a HUGE discount on the best yahoo answers software on the market which has been setup only for me… just have to setup a sales page and finish this ebook that i originally wrote with a guy called David Chamberlain. Will probably give the ebook away on the blog to all of you shortly!
So much stuff and yet soo little time in a day to get it all done!

I’ve only just really joined the WF so can’t really vouch for your past doings, although it doesn’t seem too be anything too bad, but I can say from reading your posts you seem helpful, knowleagable and appeared well liked by other members too (especially the ones you helped back money for!)
Here’s hoping everything continues to go well and its not too big a knock.
Well to give you an indication on how many people are shocked about this there are all these blog comments here… plus i usually only have around 30 to 50 people on the blog a day and today we have hit 130 right now and im expecting alot more!

I really don’t understand how people can hang out in the WF all day anyway and claim to be a top notch internet marketer. I dont know how much time I have wasted in there reading stuff. A lot of it is good but a lot is crap as well. I spend hours and hours everyday doing my marketing just to make the amount I do, and if I spent the amount of time some people do in there id be broke. I suppose if you make your own products its a little different story though. Anyway good luck…

WOW! Tom, where do I start…?
To say I am shocked, would probably be an understatement, When I first seen the “Banned” text under your name, I thought it was just some kind of joke you were playing or something, after reading some of your posts, and seeing you were pretty close to some of the “top dogs” on the forum, I would never-ever have thought you could get banned even if you tried.
I would say you were well known for being one of the good guys on the forum, and gave cracking reviews along with other opinions and knowledge you shared, I really think you will be missed by more than a few, and is a great loss to the forum in general, they might aswell start banning the rest of the top contributors, and have a bunch of people asking questions, but receiving no helpfull answers, what a shame…!
I don’t understand though, how has this come all of a sudden, you have been going this long, what caused this quick ban? surely you made up for your mistakes and more, did you upset anyone or break any rules? Why or how was you able to survive until now, did they just not relise? If so, what changed that?
Tom, I really am rather gutted to hear this, but having this blog is a lifeline, as myself and others who enjoy speaking and hearing from you are still able to keep in contact, I hope Allen can realise how much of a loss this could be to the forum, and consider giving you at least another chance, In my eyes you deserve it. I am glad to hear your positive attitude as usual, even when things aren’t so gloom, your a good guy.

You know it is good that i had this blog setup and will continue to update it, keep everyone in the loop and continue to help people. After all that’s what i enjoy the most and is the only niche that i get direct feedback from people too.
I only upset one person and that person was a moderator, but anyone who earns money upsets him as all he does is sit on the wf all day and post. He tried to keep tabs on everyone and since my ban ive been contacted by 3 other people who were banned either on the same day as me or the day after but just for ’spam’ when i know they haven’t made one spammy post.
Plus the only rule i broke was the ‘having two accounts’ rule when seeing as my first one was banned which ment i couldn’t read any posts or reply or use the search function etc etc etc.
Anyhow…. onto bigger and better things!

I was banned forever unjustifiably yesterday for spamming. What a joke! I hardly market at all, *have never even included an affiliate product in emails to my list*, not even in my list sig. My WF sig has been running for months and only has a short sentence with one anchor link. So I spammed the WF? Gimme a break.
I think it’s despicable that they don’t even bother to cite the offensive post. I had posted non-controversial replies to several threads and had written another, and when I hit submit the ban notice flew up into my face and that was it!
Now, I have the bother of having to write an explanatory post for my blog and can’t even offer a reason for the ban.
My thought of the moment: ‘I wouldn’t want to be Allen Says.’
It’s a bummer to hear the news that you won’t be interacting on the forum. You’ve been able to share tons of tips, big and small, with others.
I hope that you setup an RSS-to-Email signup for your blog. I’m not into regular RSS but I do keep up on my email. Since you have Aweber, you can just bolt your RSS Feed to it and have it send out an email as soon as you update your blog….then you won’t have to send out a manual email notification every time you post.
I really don’t know how I’ll really be able to consistently come back to your site if you don’t setup something like this to let us know that you posted something new.

but for now my facebook profile and my twitter account sends out automated notices about new posts so anyone who uses them can add me (click the buttons at the top) and also you can subscribe via the rss feed so will make a nice button for that one too.

Let me join in and add my encouragement. I’ve been a WP member for some time, now, and though I don’t post very often, I read a lot. Your posts have been some of the best.
I’ve always felt WP was more a place for “posers”, as you put it, to feed off other “posers”. The quality info is getting harder and harder to find. With their popularity in the decline, maybe it’s time for someone to step up and start a new forum to help people who are not marketing to marketers. Someone with the background and knowledge to pull it off. Someone who was, oh, I don’t know, banned from WP. (wink, wink, nudge nudge)

Your *sly* (or not so sly) suggestion to make a forum is one i have given alot of thought to in the past but don’t think im fully ready to take on that time commitment just yet.
Im still not at a happy income level and making a forum would mean im spending less hours working on my income directly and more hours helping others, which ok is good but then sometimes you have to prioritize.
For now it will just be all by the blog and my email list and then i will add in the weekly webinar’s and then finally will add in a forum and build it up that way.

Just a side note: since being banned ive got more points on my ‘things to do’ list done than i have in the last 6 months, still lots to go but its certainly paying off!
Oh and im saving a hell of alot of money not buying wso’s and using it to reinvest back into new projects and old ones that needed finishing… all in all its a real asset not being a member anymore!

Sorry to here that you were banned from the WF. I guess that I can see their side as if they make an exception for 1 rule then they would have to do it for others?
But on the other hand there are some real losers posting on the WF everyday. You were definitely an asset to the board.
Things happen for a reason and you will be OK for sure. The WF is OK, but it isn’t the greatest or only thing in the world.
On a side note, a Feedburner email feed would be easy to set up.

You was on my Friends list, I always respected you and loved reading your posts, I thought you were a really helpful guy.
If it’s any consolation, I just got banned too, not more than a couple of hours ago.
A gentleman in the Copywriting forum was looking for a copywriter on a budget this morning. Replying on the thread, I made mention of the fact that very soon I would have a WSO coming up that he might like to look out for.
I posted up the WSO around lunchtime, it’s now 3:30pm here, paid for it and had my first reply inabout 5 minutes. Started to reply to the chap, clicked Submit and lo and behold got the message, ‘You have been banned from the Warrior Forum’. Reason, promoting a WSO in another area of the WF, namely that post I had made earlier to try and help out that other fella.
What can one say?
I think it’s absolutely ridiculous. Why not just send a simple pm message saying, ‘Hey Mark, would you mind please adjusting your post’. To which I would have replied, of course I will, no problem – but to give out a ban instantly for such a minor infraction, breaking of the rules just seems to me to be utterly daft. Doesn’t make one iota of sense at all.
These forum moderators are so far up their own arses that the sun obviously isn’t shining. They don’t mind taking your money, but ban you instantly, literally within seconds afterwards.
As you say, a point I am in full agreement with you upon, life goes on and the internet is one massive tool that we have at our fingertips. Internet marketing does not revolve solely around the WF. These moderators are getting a little bit too big for their boots is my honest opinion. What do they think this is, a school where grown men and women in business for themselves can get treated as though they are 5 years old?

Now, if there is anything at all I can do for you in the future, be sure to let me know. You’re a great guy, you’ve got a big heart and what’s more you’ve got the determination to succeed. There are no problems – only solutions. So keep your head up, put your best foot forward and show these guys what you are made of.

Very surprised to see you got banned too, was it permanent or temporary?
What i would say is keep on going… heck your a great copywriter and thats one skill i still need to perfect even more! But its a skill that you can use everywhere on the internet and i even noticed some nice marketing talk going on in this reply he he… hopefully someone will go to your site and hire you.
On a side note…
What happens when you stick 1000’s of marketers in a room to change a light bulb? They market methods and tell each other how to do it!
Not sure if you read any of the comments above by me as there are a fair few but ive got a clickbank coming out in less than 2 weeks, have made 10 websites since ive been banned which are all making me a sale every so often and have been making 1 website everyday or so since too. All these little income streams are making a big difference!

In regards to your idea of posting some SEO techniques, I am debating whether to buy the WSO “Accidental discovery leads to 1000’s of free backlinks” I know you purchased and reviewed it, but I wondering whether the links gained from the methods are actually going to be of value, and really able to quickly get 1000’s of them. What do you suggest, should I pick up a copy, were you satisfied with the methods and information?

James, no don’t buy it! Not at that price anyway.
Instead just pick up the free blog commenter here and use the ‘top commenters’ module to get 1000’s of backlinks from one site! Heck my site even has it installed.
It’s just based on the principle of site-wide links but then its presented well! Nothing special or new.

Yep I read every reply above.
It seems to me that there is one rule for one set of posters on that forum and another set of rules for other posters.
In the WSO Section for example, at the top on the Sticky posts it very clearly states the WSO Forum Rules.
Allen states this: 08-06-2008, 09:34 AM admin Allen: UPDATED: “Anyone caught trying to purposefully harm another persons WSO will be removed from this forum permanently. If you bought the WSO you have a right to comment on it. However, if you have not bought it you have no right to say anything at all about it. You have no basis on which to even give an opinion one way or the other.
If you think someone is trying to harm your WSO on purpose just PM admin here in the forum.”
And yet, on my WSO, Paul McQuillan has replied with blatant lies stating that the reason for the ban was because of a heated debate which didn’t actually exist. Blatantly trying to ruin my WSO and promoting his own WSO via his signature link. In other words piggyback riding on my WSO which I paid for to promote himself and cast the reputation of another Warrior into false disrepute.
Yet that’s perfectly acceptable despite Allen saying interfering with someone else’s WSO will get you a permanent ban. Yet his reply on my WSO is not only allowed to stay there but he’s not been banned either.

As I said, it’s clearly one rule for one set of posters and another set of rules for other posters who are allowed to break the rules blatantly and get away with it.

What you mentioned was the exact methods I had in mind, and I even PM’d the the warrior asking if this was just related to sitewide linking and the top commenters etc. the replies I got were not very straight, but in one of them he suggested there were alot more methods just as effective included, and top commenters was just a small piece of the puzzle, that’s why I was considering it, because I wanted to know them all.
I guess I will not bother then, and as for these sitewide links, are they really that good? As many suggest google takes 1 site as 1 vote, also the links will not last long, as they can easily be taken over, rite? What are your thoughts?

Honestly James it depends if you are buying them monthly or using the tool to get them free!
I tend to only get them if i happen to see them there and i only need to make a few posts, otherwise i build every single other kind of backlinks which are more longterm!

Just remember this…what goes around comes around, and I personally think they have SERIOUS ego trips, and get OFF on banning you…for little stupid things, or for nothing at all. They probably just go “eny, meeny, miney, moe….ok, today its TOM that goes….” I mean its crazy how many stories I have heard about this forum.

Here’s another thing to realize…besides what goes around comes around (which I really believe), I also believe “everything happens for a reason”, and like so many others here have said, a lot of GREAT things STARTED to happen to me when i finally got banned (phew…a blessing in disquise is what I think of it now). Sure at first it puts the fear into you, its kinda scary, but then you search online and find thousands of others wrongfully “banned”. and look at the time it frees up, focus on other things, and you don’t need them…nobody does.
